Bonnie is the first team member you will contact in our office. She can answer your questions about office procedures. A mother and grandmother in the grandest sense, her family is a model to be emulated. A dedicated Christian, she demonstrates her faith by providing communion to shut-ins. Her attitude at our office in carrying out her tasks reflects the systematic and thorough care-giving present in her home. Bonnie recently completed a college degree while continuing to wear many hats at home and at the workplace. I feel privileged to call her a colleague and member of our organization.
Patty, an RN with whom I have worked for the past twenty three years, is an acute care nurse with extensive critical care experience. She was my co-worker for ten (10) years in our local Emergency Department, and began to work in my private office thirteen (13) years ago. We have teamed up in many instances, from the elective and planned, to the most extreme emergency. Patty and I have handled both types of situations and everything in between. Fortunately, our practice now focuses on the elective and low risk approaches, with the goal being to avoid crisis management. In addition to being competent, Patty is one of the most caring and compassionate individuals I have ever known. This does not diminish in any way her professional skills. A CPR instructor for 30 years, she is an IV nurse beyond compare. Her technique and deftness in making patients as comfortable as possible is a backbone of one of our most valuable interventions, IV therapy. When she is not caring for patients, Patty is caring for her horse. An avid horsewoman, you can find her with her second love most anytime she is not working.
A short term goal is the development of our case manager concept. This person provides organizational direction for patient and physician. As a coach for patients, the goal is to keep on task, helping to manage the prioritized protocol applications as determined by both the patient and the physician.
You and I identify those systems requiring attention. We then educate you on your condition and choose, with you, the appropriate protocol. We provide encouragement without condemnation. Our goal is to enhance and optimize your health. My team is a gift from God in this effort. Come join us.
